Story

Picked up a last minute discount hunt through John Martins for a cape buffalo. The weather was sunny and warm, mid 80s. We finally located buffalo late the first day. Day 2 was a constant bump and run with them. On day 3 we finally got a good look and was able to move in for a shot. 5 shots later he was down. They are extremely tough guys! Day 2 we left camp at 6 am and got back to camp at 9:15 pm. My firearm is a Mossberg Patriot in .375 Ruger. I was using 300 grain Swift A-frames. They did a great job. Highly recommend them. Also took a 40 inch sable, a zebra, and a blesbuck.

Additional Info

I was walking 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. Still not enough to be fully prepared. Thick vegetation and lots of thorns. Be in good shape, ready to walk and above all listen to your PH.
