This hunt is CITIES eligible but the lion is currently not importable into  Australia, France, or the Netherlands.  Lion from Zimbabwe will be considered for import on a case-by-case basis by the USFWS.  You will need to demonstrate enhancement on the permit application.  Conservation Force can be engaged to assist with the permit application and the enhancement findings.

This is a hunt for a free–range trophy male lion in one of the better lion-hunting concessions in Zimbabwe. The amount of lions in this area is astounding!  The areas that you are hunting are an 8-hour drive south of Harare. The concession is close to Kruger National Park and 

Kruger Park hosts a high density of lions and many spill out of the park searching for new areas or following game!

African lion hunting is under pressure from the anti-hunting establishment and is currently listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act by US Fish and Wildlife. Permits for importation into the US are considered by the USFWS on an individual basis and require a showing of enhancement under Rule 4 (d). Those who are in the know are aware that the lion is not endangered by hunting but from Africa’s expanding population and the corresponding loss of habitat and available prey. It is the hunter’s money that is funding the conservation programs that will save the lion from extinction.

With the closing of lion hunting in Botswana and imports of captive-bred being halted from South Africa, the availability of wild lions is shrinking rapidly, while the price is going up!

DEPOSIT POLICY

A deposit of 50% of the daily rates is required at booking.

The balance of the daily rates and the 2% Government Levy on the daily rates is due 30 days prior to the start of the hunt.

Trophy fees and any other charges are due in US cash at the end of the hunt. Funds to cover trophy fees and other charges may be deposited 30 days prior to the hunt. Any trophy fees for animals not taken or charges not incurred will be refunded within 21 calendar days of the hunt's end.
