This is a premium 5 day wing shooting package in Kwazulu-Natal’s Zululand  that includes 4 full days of world-class wing shooting and either a rest day or a day of plains game hunting.  This allows the dogs to rest between hunting sessions so that they do not become overly fatigued.  This is one of the best wing shooting experiences on the African continent and hunters fly in from all over the world to experience it.

The waterfowl hunting will include hunting for Red Billed Teal, Yellow Billed Ducks, White Faced Whistling Ducks and Egyptian and Spurwinged Geese.  The Spurwing Goose is one of the largest geese in the world and may weigh up to 20 pounds.  You will experience flight after flight of Yellow-Billed Ducks and Red-Billed Teal coming in to roosting ponds in the early afternoons.  Goose shooting is done in pit and lay-in blinds on reaped corn fields with spreads of over 100 decoys.

The hunts will be conducted on open farm land.  The size of the farms will range from 4,000 to 12,000 acres.  You will be the only group hunting these areas, so you can expect to see and shoot a lot of birds!

The upland bird hunting will be done in a unique manner.  Guinea Fowl and Francolin are driven over hunters by more than 20 chanting Zulu’s in a way similar to the bull horn formation tactic invented and used in battle by the infamous Shaka Zulu himself.  You will experience a victory dance by the Zulu beaters after your successful hunt.

This outfitters’ hot-barreled dove shooting is done near reaped corn fields on a tree line or in a draw. The African Turtle Dove has been written up as being “...the most challenging Game bird in the world…”. It will test the most accomplished wing shooter and leave many humbled by their all-angled approach and sudden direction change. Expect to use 100-250 shells per gun per shoot.

Rock Pigeons are decoyed into the open corn field.  It is not unusual to have 20 to 30 pigeons fluttering over your decoys as you take a left and a right on these beautiful terracotta and white-speckled birds. Expect to use 100-250 shells per gun per shoot.

Your hunt will include a leisure day so that the dogs can rest.  You can spend the day relaxing at the lodge, tour the local area or spend the day hunting plains game.  They are many species of plains game available and they may be viewed below:
