THE WILDEBEEST AND HARTEBEEST SLAM AREA

The hunting location for this wildebeest and hartebeest slam hunting safari will take place in South Africa's Free State Province.  The hunting concession is less than a 2-hour drive south of Bloemfontein.  A 10,000 acre privately owned ranch featuring a 4-star lodge will be the location for this hunt.  Prior to 2016, the ranch was only occasionally hunted by the previous owner for table meat.  There are 28 species of game to hunt on and around this concession, including a large herd of Cape buffalo.  Many of the bulls on this property have 40” inch plus spreads.  There are a lot of trophy animals here and you will experience a wildebeest and hartebeest slam hunt in South Africa’s Free State that you will always remember!

THE WILDEBEEST SLAM HUNTING LODGE

You will be staying at a 4-star lodge that features comfortable beds and in-suite showers and toilet facilities.  The lodge also features a scenic pool for the use of hunters coming in the early or late seasons.  The food, wine and service at this lodge are a great example of what makes South African hospitality famous.  Packing up after your safari to go home will be tough!  This is a good lodge to bring your wife or guest along to, as it has all of the comforts South Africa is famous for in a beautiful setting surrounded by wildlife.  After a hard day of hunting, relaxing here is the way to go!

WILDEBEEST AND HARTEBEEST HUNTING  METHODS

Hunting methods for this wildebeest and hartebeest slam hunting safari will consist of searching for game by vehicle and then by stalking on foot to get within shooting range of your targeted trophy. The terrain is very broken with lots of "koppies" and lots of rocks.  There are also open areas that provide perfect habitat for the wildebeest herds to graze on. That makes this concession perfect for spotting your trophy" beests" and then stalking them on foot. Your PH will be a highly experienced hunter that is adept at helping you put your trophies in the salt

GETTING THERE

Most hunters will overnight in Johannesburg at the Afton Guest House and then take a short flight to Bloemfontein the next morning.  The PH will pick you up at the Bloemfontein airport and transport you on a short one and one half hour drive by vehicle to the hunting concession, where you can settle in and sight in your rifles in preparation for the next day's hunt.

DEPOSIT POLICY 

A $1,500 deposit is required at the time of booking.  The balance of the package and any other charges incurred including trophy fees for animals taken or wounded that are not in the package are due at the end of the hunt in US cash, wire transfer or by Credit Card - Visa and Mastercard only! (a 2.9 % surcharge applies if paying by credit card)

REFUND POLICY

The deposit is non-refundable, but in the case of unforeseen events, the hunt can be re-scheduled for an alternative date.
