ABOUT THIS NIGHT HUNTING SAFARI
This is an awesome deal on a night hunt that includes 10 trophy fees for animals that most people will not encounter on a daytime safari in Africa. You will hunt a variety of private concessions to fill out this trophy list. This hunt is discounted significantly from what I see advertised on other websites and you will be hunting with an expert that specializes in these nighttime specialty hunts.
THE NIGHT CRITTER HUNTING AREA
This discounted night critter hunting safari in South Africa will take place near Sterkriver in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The lodge sits on a privately owned 9,000-acre property. The surrounding ranches will also be hunted, none of which are more than a 15-minute drive from camp. The total area that may be hunted encompasses more than 165,000 acres.
The terrain offers perfect cover and habitat for these animals and due to a strict permitting system, populations remain healthy, so the hunting is good.
This is first-class hunting for excellent quality trophies in prime areas that are not over-hunted. The package price is low for a night critter hunt of this quality.
THE NIGHT CRITTER HUNTING SAFARI METHODS
The night critter hunting will primarily take place utilizing 3 different hunting methods. Some of these animals can be lured into bait sites, so you will sit quietly in a blind at night waiting on them to come into the bait to feed. The outfitter maintains his bait stations year-round, so these bait stations are regular feeding spots for many animals. Trail cameras are used to determine which bait sites are being utilized currently to make your hunt more predictable.
The outfitter’s blinds are designed to make night hunting comfortable. The blinds are furnished with mattresses, blankets, and pillows. There are buzzers that will vibrate if animals approach the baits. The outfitter uses night vision and has rifles equipped with night scopes.
Another method will be driving and spotlighting for these animals. This is an exciting way to hunt, as you never know what you are going to run into at night. You need to be prepared to shoot quickly once the PH has determined that it is a trophy you are seeking.
For animals like jackals, calling may be utilized. Some of the other night animals will also come into the call and you never know when a leopard might show up to create a bit of adrenalin!
The best times of the year for this hunt are near the new moon from June – September.
THE NIGHT CRITTER HUNTING LODGE
While hunting you will stay at a well-appointed 3-star lodge. The lodge boasts amazing views of the Waterberg Mountains and you can watch the sunset from the pool while zebra and wildebeest roam by on the plains. The food you will eat consists of 3-course home-cooked meals and you will eat wild game daily. The accommodations feature comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms. Internet service and cell phone service are available at the lodge. The lodge features permanent electrical service.
The lodge has a pool and a great fire pit area for relaxing at night after the hunt. This is truly a lodge that you will enjoy hunting from!
THE NIGHT CRITTER HUNTING OUTFITTER
This family-run outfitting business has been in business for over 35 years. The head PH has been awarded Bow Hunter of the Year in South Africa for both 2018 and 2019 for the exceptional trophies he has harvested. The founder of the company has been the Outfitter of the Year in the past. Your PH will be a night hunter himself and will be highly experienced in guiding successful night-hunting safaris.
TAXIDERMY
This outfitter recommends and uses Swift Dip for dip and pack and taxidermy services.
RENTAL RIFLES

GETTING THERE
The outfitter will pick hunters up in Johannesburg or Polokwane and will provide road transportation to and from the hunting lodge. It is approximately a 4.5-hour drive from the airport in Johannesburg to the lodge. From Polokwane, it is 1.5 hours. Depending on your time of arrival, you may wish to overnight at the AfricaSky Boutique Hotel and then take the drive to the outfitter's lodge the next morning, or you can fly to Polokwane the next morning and then make the short drive to the lodge.
So, what are you waiting for? If you have dreamed about night hunting in Africa for nocturnal trophy animals at a low price while staying in comfortable 3-star accommodations, then this discounted night hunting safari in South Africa is the hunt for you!

Testimonials
"In August 2014 I took a lioness hunt with Discount African Hunts in the Northwest Province of South Africa. The PH's worked hard to customize the hunt for me as I wanted a challenging stalk ending with taking the lioness at close range by an open sighted double rifle. They exceeded my expectations as 12 miles of tracking ended with me shooting the highly agitated lioness at a distance of 25 yards with a couple of rounds of 450 NE".
"I highly recommend a lioness hunt with Discount African Hunts."

'It was the most exciting hunt I have ever been on. We stalked a small bachelor group for a few days before I shot a mature cape buffalo with my Browning 375 H&H.'
'This was my third hunt with Discount African Hunts and each one has been fantastic. I don't think I would book my future African hunts with anyone else.'

"I spent weeks visiting websites for outfitters in Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, comparing pre-made packages and regular fees. In the end, for a 7-day, six animal hunt with my son as an observer/hunter, John Martins had the best price."
