THE LIMPOPO WILDEBEEST SAFARI AREA
This is a great deal for both the first timer to Africa or for returning hunters. This Luxury Tented Camp Hunting Safari Package in Limpopo will take place on farms that range from 2,800 to over 5,000 acres. The camp is located about 3.5 hours north of Johannesburg. The closest town on the map is the town of Vaalwater. The terrain varies from flat with thick bushveld to mountainous. There is a good mixture of rolling hills, open plains as well as thick bush, thus making it perfect plains game habitat.
KINGS WILDEBEEST HUNTING METHODS
This is a typical African safari where you will utilize the truck to move around to locate animals and then get out and make a stalk on foot. You will be hunting mostly fenced farms. There is a great abundance of game on these hunting areas. Some great trophies live on these concessions, but you will have to work to harvest the best heads. Although you will see many animals a day, challenging hunting is the order of the day. This is a combination hunt for trophy Kings and Golden Wildebeest that you will never forget!
THE LUXURY CAMP
This luxury Kings wildebeest hunting safari camp is a hybrid consisting of a 4-star tented camp and two permanent chalets that feature permanent electrical power along with cell phone and internet service. The camp is split, with two tents and two permanent luxury chalets. The tented camp has 2 tents that have two beds each in them, so the tented camp portion can accommodate a maximum of 4 hunters at a time. The tents have nice comfortable beds and have in-suite toilets. The shower facility sits between the two tents and is shared. Each permanent chalet can sleep 3 people.
The food and service are excellent and the hunting is awesome! The cooking, eating and gathering area is under a large traditional thatched roof, so you will experience many of the amenities available when hunting from a lodge, but the safari will have that old-Africa feel. There is a good sized boma area for sitting around the fireplace at night while watching the steaks cook. This is a great option for families where mom and dad can stay in the luxury of a permanent luxury chalet while the kids can experience staying in a tented camp. This is a modern way to hunt modern Africa with a traditional flair!
This area is not a malaria area. No special precautions are required!
THE KINGS WILDEBEEST HUNTING TERRAIN
The terrain is classified as bushveld, which means that it is grassland covered with various types of trees and bushes. This specific hunting area has got plenty of open areas to spot animals, but also has sufficient bush cover to approach them for an opportunity to shoot. The main hunting area is flat, with a perennial stream running along one side of the property. Other areas are also hunted, all being within a short driving distance.
THE KINGS WILDEBEEST HUNT
Hunting Kings wildebeest in the winter months will typically start early in the morning with a cup of coffee and a snack before you head out to hunt. You will normally hunt until about 10:30, upon which you will return for brunch. You will then have the choice of a rest or you can head straight back out to hunt. You will then hunt until last light and then head back in to have an after-hunt cocktail and to prepare for dinner.

So, what are you waiting for? This outfitter has the best price for a Kings wildebeest hunt that I have found, and his golden wildebeest are priced attractively also. This traditional Luxury Hunting Safari package includes many of the animals that hunters want to take! With this package hunt, you will be hunting 1X1 and taking a great trophy Kings wildebeest at a fabulous price!
A lot of hunters tell me they don’t care about staying in a 5-star lodge and just want comfortable lodging in an area with good hunting. If you are looking for that old Africa feel of a tented camp safari - this is it! This hunt will put you in an area with excellent hunting and with great trophy quality. You can enjoy all of that while staying in a traditional tented camp setting. If that doesn’t appeal to you, you can elect to stay in one of the luxurious permanent chalets. What more can one ask for?
GETTING THERE
Most hunters that arrive in the morning will be picked up at the Johannesburg airport (JNB) and will be driven directly to the camp, where you will settle in, catch a late meal and go to bed to prepare for the next day’s hunting adventure. It is about a 3 - 3.5-hour drive from Johannesburg. If your flight arrives in the late afternoon or evening, I recommend that you overnight at the comfortable Afton Safari Lodge and then have your outfitter pick you up in the morning and drive you to the lodge. When departing, you will be driven to the Johannesburg airport for your return flight home.

Testimonials
"I spent weeks visiting websites for outfitters in Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, comparing pre-made packages and regular fees. In the end, for a 7-day, six animal hunt with my son as an observer/hunter, John Martins had the best price."

"The hippo and croc hunt was good to great -- People make the hunt and from the booking agent to the outfitter YOU COULDN'T ask for a better hunt! Very few hunting ads tell you what you will get and then deliver it with a smile and extras. Both ends are honest and great to deal with."
"John Martins tries his hardest to get you a great price and your animals with honest outfitters!"
