THE CROCODILE HUNTING AREA
The hunt will take place on a hunting concession in the Northwest Province of South Africa. The outfitter's average crocodile in this area is over 12 feet in length. The outfitter told me that he has taken Crocs up to almost 16 ft. on this concession!
The hunting areas consist of 7,000 acres and features a good-sized reservoir that is teeming with large crocodiles. This is beautiful crocodile country and the size of the reservoir does expand during the rainy season in the spring. The reservoir's water level goes down during the dryer months, concentrating the crocs in the main portion of the reservoir. The big crocodiles like to lay back in the shallows at the head of the reservoir to catch bushbuck, impala, and other game.
The terrain is mostly flat and sandy with heavy brush and as one gets closer to the reservoir, it starts to become more open with good cover for stalking crocodiles. This area has an abundance of plains game and there are lots of rhino and Cape buffalo ($8,500) in the area also.
THE CROCODILE HUNT
This hunt for crocodiles in South Africa will be primarily done on foot. You will walk and stalk, always keeping a lookout for a trophy crocodile either sunning himself or lurking in the water waiting on prey. Once a big croc is spotted, you will decide on a plan and stalk to within shooting distance of the trophy crocodile. An accurate shot is necessary to pin the croc on shore and prevent him from escaping into the water and disappearing. Crocodiles that face some hunting pressure are extremely cunning, as they possess excellent senses of hearing, smell, and vision. Sneaking up on a trophy crocodile is a lot more challenging and exciting than many hunters realize.
The outfitter has obtained permits to be able to hunt these crocodiles legally. That makes this hunt significantly different than many of the other crocodile hunts in South Africa where the permits used are not issued for the property you are hunting on, and therefore are technically illegal.
PLAINS GAME
Once you are successful taking your trophy bull crocodile you may continue hunting for the plains game species that are numerous in the area. Trophy fees for other species are listed below:
The best time of year to Hunt Crocodiles in South Africa is February through November when the reservoir is stable and the crocodiles are concentrated on the banks sunning.
THE CROCODILE LODGE
You will stay in a nice 4-star lodge while hunting your Nile crocodile. The lodge has thatch roofs and the comforts you would expect while on safari. The camp features comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, and showers, daily laundry service, a swimming pool, and three excellent meals a day. The outfitter’s staff is trained to cater to their client’s needs. The hunting vehicles are well-maintained. There is cell phone service available in camp. Internet service is available at this camp.
THE CROCODILE OUTFITTER
This is your chance to hunt a Crocodile in South Africa with one of the most experienced big game outfitters in Africa! This outfitter is one of the most reputable dangerous game outfitters in Southern Africa and hunts on some of the most unique Nile crocodile concessions in all of South Africa. The outfitter has been offering big game safaris in Southern Africa for many years and he will see that your crocodile hunt is a memorable safari.

Testimonials
'It was the most exciting hunt I have ever been on. We stalked a small bachelor group for a few days before I shot a mature cape buffalo with my Browning 375 H&H.'
'This was my third hunt with Discount African Hunts and each one has been fantastic. I don't think I would book my future African hunts with anyone else.'

"First, I wanted to tell you the buffalo hunt with the outfitter you booked me with was great! The PH took me to a farm where there was a good herd of buffalo and I shot a 40” old dagga boy. I could have taken another one a bit wider, 42”, with hard bosses but he did not have that old rough beat-up look I was after."
