This is a great free-range discounted safari hunting package hunt in Namibia with a well-known outfitter! This renowned Namibian spot and stalk outfitter is located only 2 hours Southwest of Windhoek. He owns 109,000 acres of free-range game-filled habitat. With Namibia having some of the largest Gemsbok and Greater Southern Kudu on the continent along with the beautiful Mountain Zebra, this is a great opportunity to put some awesome trophies in your trophy room without breaking the bank!  Once the kudu, gemsbok, and mountain zebra are in the salt, you will hunt the more open areas of this vast concession for the other animals in your package.

THE FREE-RANGE SAFARI AREAS

This free-range Namibia safari package hunt will take place on 109,000 acres in the mountains of Namibia.  The area has no fences and features wild animals that have adapted to the harsh Namibian environment.  The concession is only a 2-hour drive Northeast fof Windhoek. The free-range terrain consists of a mix of mountains, bushveld an,d savanna.  Once your kudu, oryx an,d zebra have been taken you will hunt the more moderately terrained areas for the red hartebeest, springbok, and warthog.

SAFARI HUNTING METHODS

The first part of this free-range safari will primarily be done by stalking on foot until a suitable shot is provided. You should be in average to decent shape to be successful on this portion of the safari, as the kudu and mountain zebra will require some walking in rough terrain.

The second part of this free-range safari will take place in more easily hunted terrain. The hunting areas are comprised of hills and savannas consisting of grasslands and camelthorn trees. Here you will hunt your springbok, red hartebeest, and warthog. You may end up sitting on a waterhole to take your warthog, as it is one of the most reliable methods in this normally dry area. The springbok and blue wildebeest will be hunted by driving, glassing, and then stalking on foot. Walking is easier in this area, as it is flatter than in the mountains.

Namibia Free-Range Gemsbok TrophyNamibia Free-range Kudu Trophy

This area of Namibia offers true free-range hunting and produces exceptional trophy quality. The outfitter’s Greater Southern Kudus average from 53’’ – 58” with some bigger bulls being taken. The gemsbok in this area average between 36” – 40”+. There are also good populations of Mountain Zebra in the area and there is a very high probability that you will return home with all three species.

The savanna hunting area offers a good contrast from the mountain area and offers several other species to hunt. Utilizing the savanna’s easier terrain, hunting here is a nice way to wind down from the intensity of hunting in the mountains.

Other animals are available per the price sheet.

**This hunt is available from March – November.  Prime time for Kudu is late May to early June!

THE 4-STAR LODGE

This hunt will be conducted from a 4-star lodge set in the Namibian wilderness which features a great view. You will enjoy some of Namibia’s fine cuisine while hunting here. The large individual chalets feature en-suite bathrooms. The camp has electrical power and hot showers. No cell service is available in camp, but internet access is available for those of you that want to stay in touch while on safari.

This outfitter has opened an onsite brewery, a Bar-B-Que restaurant, and an onsite full-service spa. Hunters can eat in the restaurant if they so desire, instead of the lodge. Bring your wife, and let her see wild Namibia while indulging herself in luxury at the spa!

Testimonials

"I booked the hunt through John Martins, the owner of Discount African Hunts. It was a smooth transaction and he provided me with good and accurate information."

"This 10 day package safari was a fantastic experience. I learned many new hunting skills and made new friends.  I would go back and do it again in a heartbeat.  I'm going back. That says it all. Thanks to Discount African Hunts for setting me up on a fantastic plains game safari."

"In August 2014 I took a lioness hunt with Discount African Hunts in the Northwest Province of South Africa. The PH's worked hard to customize the hunt for me as I wanted a challenging stalk ending with taking the lioness at close range by an open sighted double rifle. They exceeded my expectations as 12 miles of tracking ended with me shooting the highly agitated lioness at a distance of 25 yards with a couple of rounds of 450 NE".

"I highly recommend a lioness hunt with Discount African Hunts."

"I had the hunting experience of a lifetime. And I have a real need to go back. I made many new friends from South Africa, Australia and the USA.

I strongly recommend both Discount African Hunts and this outfitter. John Martins set me up with a great outfitter, answered all my questions and made sure I had all my paperwork in order A to Z."
