This is a highly discounted cull bow hunting package with the culling fees for 5 animals included and with FREE jackals.  This incredible bow cull hunting safari will take place in Namibia’s central region only 2 hours east of Windhoek. The outfitter specializes in bowhunting and caters to both traditional and compound bow hunters.  You will primarily hunt 12,000 acres (18.75 sq, miles) of prime habitat that has good populations of animals residing on it.

THE CULL HUNTING SAFARI AREAS

This bow cull hunt will take place on both high fence and low fence free-range areas.  The hunting areas are roughly split between the high and low fence areas. The outfitter has well-constructed blinds in both areas and also has several tree stands that are placed next to waterholes and salt licks.

In the high-fenced area there are 2 pit and 3 elevated blinds. These blinds are carpeted and feature bow hangers, comfortable chairs, magazines, and toilet equipment.  I must say that they are some of the best blinds that I have seen while hunting in Africa.  All of these blinds are situated on water / salt licks and draw a good number of animals. There are also 5 comfortable tree stands scattered throughout this area for those wanting a more panoramic view of Africa while hunting

In the low fence / free range areas there are 1 elevated and 1 pit blind and 10 tree stands. The species found on the low-fence areas are primarily kudu, gemsbuck, red hartebeest and warthog.

The outfitter also hunts his brother’s farm which is an additional 12,377 acres.

The area’s kudu population has been affected by rabies, which has reduced kudu populations in many areas of Namibia.  For those clients wanting a trophy impala or kudu you will need to take a 2-hour drive to another 5,000-acre concession and overnight at a nice lodge there while hunting kudu and impala. There are good populations of these animals on this concession and other species are also available there.

SAFARI CULL HUNTING METHODS

This 7-day bow cull hunting trophy package will be primarily conducted by hunting over waterholes and/or salt licks in high-traffic areas.  The terrain and vegetation are suitable for trying some spot and stalk should you wish to give that method a try.

Bow Hunt Cull ElandBow Hunt Cull Red Hartebeest

Namibia produces some great plains game hunting and is especially known for it’s free-ranging herds of animals.  There are good populations of many other species in the area and there is a good chance you will return home with some exceptional trophies.

Other cull animals are available per the cull price list.

TAKING AN OBSERVER

Taking an observer on a bow hunt can be an exciting way for the non-hunter to get an introduction to hunting.  Sharing an African hunting experience with your family or friends can create shared memories that will last a lifetime. Many of the blinds are large enough to accommodate an extra observer or two.

GETTING THERE

You will fly into Windhoek; Namibia and the outfitter will be there to meet you.  It is then about a 1.5 to 2-hour drive to the lodge.

TAXIDERMY

If you decide to shoot some trophy animals during your cull hunt,  the outfitter uses Trophaendienste Taxidermy, which is the best taxidermist in Namibia.  I have personally visited their facilities and was so impressed that I am using them to mount all my Namibian trophies.  A visit to there may be arranged through the outfitter if your schedule allows it.

"I had the hunting experience of a lifetime. And I have a real need to go back. I made many new friends from South Africa, Australia and the USA.

I strongly recommend both Discount African Hunts and this outfitter. John Martins set me up with a great outfitter, answered all my questions and made sure I had all my paperwork in order A to Z."
