This discounted 5-day / 5-animal hunting safari package takes place in South Africa’s Eastern Cape. The Eastern Cape is renowned for both its quality, and quantity of trophy animals, as well as its wide range of species offered. The outfitter is very well-known and hunts on over 14,000 acres of his land, along with other large adjacent concessions. The land is prime habitat for trophy game and is located near Jansenville in the Eastern Cape. The diversity of animals living here is just incredible, with over 25 species of animals available in the area.

THE HUNTING SAFARI AREAS

The hunting area is near the town of Jansenville, south of Graff-Reinet. You will be hunting on the outfitter's 14,000-acre main concession and on several nearby concessions. The main lodge is a 2-hour drive from Port Elizabeth. There are many natural wild animals that have adapted to the bush conditions of the Eastern Cape, and you can expect a mix of mountains, valleys, and savannas in the concession. There is also excellent kudu hunting and the area has many springbok, impala, and blesbok.

SAFARI HUNTING METHODS

This safari uses a spot-and-stalk method. You and your PH will primarily be driving and spotting or driving and hiking to good viewing spots to glass for trophies. Once you locate a desirable trophy, you and your PH will devise a plan to stalk the animal on foot. Once you get to a good shooting angle, you’ll be able to then take your shot!

You should be in average to good shape (2-3 on a 5 scale) to be successful on this safari.

The Eastern Cape produces some exceptional trophy quality. The outfitter’s Eastern Cape Kudu average around 46’’ – 47” with some bigger bulls exceeding 50” being taken annually. The gemsbok in this area average between 36” – 40”. Trophy quality rivals that of other areas in South Africa, with kudu being the exception, as there are no natural greater southern kudu in the Eastern Cape. All of the kudus in this area are Eastern Cape Kudu.

Other animals are available per the price list below:

This hunt is available from March – November. Prime time for Kudu is late April – early June!

THE 3.5-STAR SAFARI LODGE

This hunt uses a 3.5-Star permanent camp that is located on the flatlands close to some nearby mountains. The lodge area features incredible views of the surrounding hills and features a swimming pool as well. The food and drinks are fabulous, and each night after dinner, the hunters gather around the fire under the southern stars or around the billiards table inside. The rooms are large and modern, with each having an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The lodge is connected to permanent electrical power and has both cell and internet service available at the lodge as well.

The main lodge can accommodate groups of up to 6 hunters.
